<p>On July 12, 2024, hackers were able to gain unauthorized access to the Dough Finance system and get away with $1. 96 million in multiple attacks on their smart contracts. In response, the Dough Finance team posted an on-chain message to the hacker stating, Reach out via email or return the stolen funds by July 15, 2024, 23:00 UTC. The team threatened that if they were not complied with, legal suits would be initiated against the hackers who stole the money. Users are therefore encouraged to be cautious and keep themselves updated on the official channels for further details.</p>
