As a result, Rain Coin’s core rewards utility is 100% decentralized.We decided to use Chainlink Automation to power Rain Coin’s Thunderstorm function because it is the most reliable Web3 automation service. The Chainlink Automation Network is operated by the same pool of time-tested, provably reliable node operators that currently help secure tens of billions of dollars in <a href="https://chain.link/education/defi" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DeFi</a>, even during record levels of network congestion and extreme volatility. The proven infrastructure of Chainlink helps ensure that every Thunderstorm is executed on-time in a trust-minimized manner, giving users additional guarantees that it will function exactly as intended.Rain Coin is an automated store of value. 1% of all RAIN transactions are redistributed back to holders. Once per day there is a large “Thunderstorm” that gives all wallets bonus coins, even those in cold storage. The Thunderstorm tokens are locked in a smart contract with distribution tiers based on the current reward pool balance.
