&nbsp;<a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/litecoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Litecoin</a>'s third "<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/heat-waves-and-halving-bitcoin-miners-cash-in-amid-rising-prices/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">halving</a> event" is due on Wednesday. This pre-programmed event cuts new cryptocurrency issuance by 50%, according to <a href="https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2023/07/31/as-litecoin-halving-approaches-founder-touts-silver-collector-cards-loaded-with-digital-silver/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">coindesk</a>. 
Charlie Lee, <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/litecoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Litecoin</a> creator, and Bobby Lee, Ballet's CEO, have launched a unique promotion to mark the event. They've teamed up to create 500 commemorative cards. The cards are made from 99.9% pure silver and loaded with at least 6.25 Litecoin (<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/how-to-increase-income-from-mining-ltc-and-doge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LTC</a>). Each card holds a value of around $621 and will be sold for roughly $1,000.

These special silver cards were introduced via a Twitter livestream. After the <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/heat-waves-and-halving-bitcoin-miners-cash-in-amid-rising-prices/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">halving</a> event, the cards will be loaded with 6.25 <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/how-to-increase-income-from-mining-ltc-and-doge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LTC</a>. According to Charlie Lee, even if Litecoin's value falls to zero, the silver card will still hold value. 
The halving event, an integral part of Litecoin's lifecycle, is gaining attention. Halving occurs approximately every four years, reducing the LTC subsidy from 12.5 to 6.25. The upcoming event is the third instance of such an event for Litecoin. 
Charlie and Bobby Lee plan to donate all sale proceeds to the Litecoin Foundation. This initiative will further support the blockchain's adoption and development. 
The collectible cards will go on sale in August. Some of the initial cards might be auctioned, while others will sell at a fixed price. After the brothers' announcement, LTC value saw a slight appreciation, moving from $91.20 to $92.43.
