Snoop Dogg has claimed that he is the person running a popular Twitter account that focuses on non-fungible tokens.

Cozomo de’ Medici has cultivated a loyal following of about 30,000 followers since last month — and the pseudonymous account has been considering a “doxing” for several days.

A tweet on September 16 said:

“Dear frens, I have been thinking a lot about this, and have realized my real life celebrity status may bring many welcomed eyeballs to NFT.”

A poll was then held so followers could vote on who they thought the A-lister was… but they were thrown off the scent because the only options included Jason Derulo, Elon Musk and George Clooney.

In a rather understated declaration, Snoop Dogg tweeted from his official account:

“I am @CozomoMedici”

What is Cozomo de’ Medici?

The Twitter account is undoubtedly passionate about NFTs and their potential — sharing insights into tokens that could outperform the market.

A pinned message at the top of the profile says:

“Did I imagine my very 1st purchase of a ‘useless’ jpeg would cost $2m USD? Absolutely not. It should have been $4m.”

Other tweets likened the world of crypto collectibles to “an exotic car meet-up, an outing on the golf course, or sitting around a poker table,” adding:

“I realized that we are on the dawn of an entirely new world of socializing meets entertainment meets the arts meets investing.”

Snoop Dogg has been a known crypto enthusiast for some time, and he launched his very first NFT collection back in March.

The star also got involved with Dogecoin mania earlier this year — and when asked about Bitcoin, he told Vanity Fair:
“I believe in the technology and I believe in the global connection it creates.”
