Gerald Chee

Gerald Chee is the Head of Research at CoinMarketCap. He previously was a co-founder of Hashtag Capital, a boutique quantitative trading firm that focused on trading derivatives products for cryptoassets, which was acquired by CMC. 

Gerald first became interested in crypto markets at the tail end of 2018, having previously honed his trading skills in more traditional finance, trading global interest rate derivatives on futures exchanges. At CoinMarketCap, Gerald has headed the initiative to track liquidity in the crypto markets as an important ranking factor in a decentralized, developing space, creating CMC’s proprietary Liquidity Score.
