As Bitcoin Surges, How Have Other Altcoins Been Performing?

Índice

The total crypto market cap has now exceeded $600 billion, there are more than 8,000 cryptocurrencies in existence, and Bitcoin is trading at record highs. It’s a wild time for the digital assets sector right now.
But beyond Bitcoin, which has gained 7.25% in the past 24 hours at the time of writing, how have other cryptocurrencies been performing?

Well, it’s a sea of green in the altcoin markets right now — with stablecoins as an exception.

Several cryptocurrencies have actually posted bigger gains than Bitcoin during the past 24 hours.

XRP is up by 10.70% — taking it safely above that all-important $0.50 threshold that it has been threatening to crash through in recent days. It’s still down 4.32% on the week.
Litecoin has risen by 9.80% too, meaning it’s close to vaulting beyond the $90 mark. Prices this high haven’t been seen since the summer of 2019.
Gains have been far more muted for the likes of Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Polkadot and Binance Coin — and although Monero has surged by 17.15% in the past week, it’s up just 0.73% over the past 24 hours.
