Paxful has announced that it is giving away 50 tickets to the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami.

The exchange's competition is in collaboration with Venture Miami, the Built with Bitcoin Foundation, and Miami's mayor, Francis Suarez.

It's hoped that the contest will allow local students to experience the conference for themselves — and learn more about the world's biggest cryptocurrency in the process.

A form to enter the giveaway asks applicants if they're currently a student and which school they attend, as well as to rank their knowledge about BTC on a scale of one to ten.

Applicants are also asked why they are interested in learning more about Bitcoin — and what they're looking forward to at the conference.

Given how a general admission pass currently costs $899, it would represent a substantial saving for crypto-curious students.

Big Announcements?

The Bitcoin 2021 conference turned into a news-making event — not least because El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele, announced that his country planned to adopt BTC as legal tender within a matter of months.

Some of the industry heavyweights who have been confirmed as keynote speakers at this year's conference are hinting that some equally bullish announcements are in the pipeline.

Samson Mow — who recently stepped down as Blockstream's chief strategy officer in order to focus on "nation-state Bitcoin adoption" — said he, Bukele and Strike founder Jack Mallers "are all trying to outdo each other for big surprises" on stage.

CoinMarketCap will be at Bitcoin 2022 in Miami to bring you the latest twists and turns throughout the four-day conference — delivering breaking news on Academy and a daily podcast recapping the highlights from each day.

It'll be taking place from April 6 to 9.
