Elizabeth Stark is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lightning Labs which mainly focuses on scaling of Bitcoin and has developed tech that can offload some of the burden of transaction processing from Bitcoin’s main network. She taught at Stanford and Yale where her students studied peer-to-peer technology, privacy, open source software, and memes. She has been an active contributor to the bitcoin community, an advisor to startups in areas ranging from cryptocurrency to decentralized technology to AI, and is a fellow at Coin Center. She has a law degree from Harvard. In 2020, Lightning Labs secured $10 million in investments and introduced beta version of Lightning Loop which is the company's first paid product.
