Bitcoin had a spring in its step on Monday after ending a nine-week losing streak.

The world's biggest cryptocurrency achieved a weekly close of $30,000, with BTC avoiding its 10th red weekly candle in a row.

At the time of writing, BTC is trading at $31,576 — up 6% on a 24-hour timeframe, and 3% for the week.

While Ether is flat on a weekly timeframe, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency has rallied by 6.36% since this time yesterday.

A number of smaller altcoins — Cardano, Solana, Avalanche and Polygon among them — have secured double-digit gains, too.
