2021 Blockchain, Crypto Investments Double 2020 Total in 6 Months 🤑
At $8.7 billion, investments in the cryptocurrency and blockchain sector of Fintech through June are already more than double what was seen in 2020. In a letter to Senate crypto critic Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) SEC Chairman and former MIT cryptocurrency professor Gary Gensler said he believes “investors using these platforms are not adequately protected.” He said the Securities and Exchange Commission needs “additional authorities” and “more resources to protect investors.” See the letter here.
