application is integrated with MetaMask and it supports many different blockchains, like Aurora mainnet. In this guide, CMC Academy explains how to add Aurora
network to MetaMask.
- Install MetaMask software wallet
- Tap on Setting.
- Tap on add Network.
- Paste the necessary information and add Aurora mainnet (AURORA).
The official website
provides you with a source to install the MetaMask wallet safely to your browser. After downloading the extension, you can add it to your browser. Open the browser settings, click on “Settings” and choose “More Tools.” It will bring the following screen:
By toggling the blue button, you can pin the extension to your browser:
The wallet can be accessed at the top right-hand corner of your browser after installation.
If the MetaMask wallet is pinned, you need to click on the MetaMask fox icon. If it is not pinned, click the extension's icon at the top-right corner of the screen to open your MetaMask wallet:
Expand the wallet to a new browser page by clicking on “Expand view:”
That opens MetaMask in a new tab:
Add Aurora mainnet
in the next step. To do that, you need to select the profile icon at the top right and click on settings:
Open the “Networks” option from the following screen:
You will bring up a screen similar to the following:
The next step is to click on “Add a network” to add Aurora Mainnet. You may copy and paste the technical information about Aurora Mainnet from below:
Save the network and click on “Save” to add it to your MetaMask wallet:
If you want to add the AURORA
token, you have to click on “Import Tokens” that will bring you to the following screen:
Copy the token details from the Etherscan site
Token Contract Address: 0xAaAAAA20D9E0e2461697782ef11675f668207961
Token Symbol: AURORA
Click on “Add Custom Token” to add AURORA and click on “Import Tokens” on the next screen. If you have done everything correctly, you will see the following screen:
