MasterCard Buys Crypto Intelligence Firm CipherTrace 👮

Mastercard has expanded its push into the digital assets market by purchasing a top crypto transaction tracing firm. CipherTrace provides blockchain forensics and regulatory compliance tools to banks, exchanges, law enforcement agencies and regulators. After Record-Breaking August, NFT Sales Plummet 😢

Sales of non-fungible tokens collapsed this week following a record-breaking August, according to Dune Analytics. Daily sales volume fell from $323 million on August 29 to less than $85 million on September 8. Despite a Sotheby’s auction that saw a collection of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs sell for $24.4 million. Payments Firm Flexa Powers BTC at Top El Salvador Bank ₿

Lightning-powered payments network Flexa has teamed up with the Central American country’s largest bank, Bancoagrícola, to provide the tools to accept Bitcoin payments for its loans and credit cards, as well as at its merchant network members’ stores. SEC to Rule on VanEck Bitcoin ETF in November 😱

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has promised to make a final decision on the VanEck Bitcoin Trust, the first of the exchange trade fund applicants to apply this year.
