Ondo Global Markets has received regulatory clearance to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs across 30 European countries. The Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority granted approval that enables the U.S.-based platform to operate throughout the European Union and broader European Economic Area.

The authorization positions Ondo to serve over 500 million investors across the region with regulated access to U.S. markets directly on-chain. The company announced the milestone on Tuesday, weeks after partnering with Boerse Stuttgart Group's digital asset division BX Digital to enable tokenized stock trading in Switzerland on Nov. 3.

Liechtenstein's approval allows Ondo to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs to retail investors across all 30 EEA countries. The group includes all 27 EU nations plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

As an EEA member state, Liechtenstein implemented the EU-wide Markets in Crypto-Assets framework through the EEA MiCA Implementation Act, which entered into force in February. Following the expiry of the transitional regime on Dec. 31, 2025, crypto asset service providers must hold MiCA authorization from Liechtenstein's FMA.

Ondo did not specify which regulatory framework secured the approval but highlighted Liechtenstein's passporting regime extending across the EEA. The regulatory achievement enables Ondo to operate within a unified framework consistent with established investor protection standards, according to the company.

Reports indicate EU officials are drafting plans to designate the European Securities and Markets Authority as direct regulator for all crypto asset service providers across the bloc. The announcement arrives as tensions rise within the EU over supervisory authority that member states should retain under MiCA.

Ondo's platform enables investors to access traditional financial products through blockchain rails, combining conventional market exposure with on-chain settlement and custody mechanisms.
