The bills include Rep. Darren Soto’s (D-FL) blockchain study bill, the Consumer Safety Technology Act (H.R. 4814), as well as Rep. The final vote was 60-38. The same measure passed the House earlier this week, but is expected to be vetoed by President Biden.</p><h3 id="eu-uk">EU/UK</h3><h3 id="french-financial-markets-authority-warns-against-bybit">French Financial Markets Authority Warns Against Bybit</h3><p>The French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) issued a reminder to retail investors that crypto trading platform Bybit is blacklisted in France, and the AMF reserves the right to take legal action to block Bybit’s website.</p><h3 id="bis-report-reviews-digital-finance-innovations">BIS Report Reviews Digital Finance Innovations</h3><p>The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) <a href="https://www.bis.org/bcbs/publ/d575.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">published a report on the digitalization of finance</a>, reviewing innovative technologies including AI, distributed ledger technology, and cloud computing.</p><h3 id="swiss-federal-council-seeks-public-input-on-crypto-standards">Swiss Federal Council Seeks Public Input on Crypto Standards</h3><p>The Swiss Federal Council launched a consultation seeking public feedback on its plan to adopt two OECD standards that will update the country’s automatic exchanges of information to account for crypto assets.</p>
